It has been too long…

It has been too long, since I wrote on my blog… It has been too long since I’ve seen my best friends… It has been too long since I felt the excitment of travel… It has been too long…

Where will I go? what will I do,? what should I do? When will I find the place where I will be not just content, but excited and happy to stay? I want to do something big, dont you? Life is great, but confusing at times… Talk to people, be genuine, be yourself… It will all work out..  right?…YES!!

Goodbye London

Today we left London. We did have fun last night at the vodka bar and out with everyone! Drank a bit to much though, but oh well I’m on vacation right? Lol I will say I am going to miss the Waters family, they are so great! They did to much for us. I did try to do most everything myself but they would just insist. Now we are in Dublin airport for the night, still unsure if I will be able to sleep or not, but we leave 11am tomorrow or well today. Then arrive in Chicago at 5pm, which is actually a 12 hour trip but with the time difference it seems so short ha if only! Then I take the train to the greyhound station, wait there till midnight when my bus leaves and then I’m in Detroit by 6am! I’m tired just thinking about it ha

En-ga-land

My flight to England was nice and fast, security/customs there was pretty intense, but I made it through, and to Kate, Mark and Tom… I arrived at there home, and it is lovely!

The Next day we went to the England vs Switzerland game! It was amazing to see all of the people dressed in their jerseys and England apparel at the pubs, and the game. Although the game was a let down because they tied 2-2, and the Switzerland fans although smaller in numbers than Englands were louder, it was a good experience and I got to see Joe Hart (Englands goal keeper) play!

After the game the next few days were good, we went to London Aquarium, and saw the London eye. Cori got here and we went to London again, and seen as much as we could since it was raining, we also tried to look for platform 9 3/4 but sadly we did not find it :( later that night we went to a Jack the Ripper tour with Mark, Kate, Tom, and Charlotte! It was really interesting, we got to see and go to all of the spot where the Ripper did his work, and learned a lot of history as well.. Also on the way back from the tour we ran into a totally mental tramp outside of the pub we stopped at to get a drink, he was scream at everyone. Kate and Charlotte were watching him and kind of laughing, so Cori and I told them never look them in the eye or they will come! haha

Then the rest of the time we have been hanging out with the family shopping a little, drinking of course. But the people and the Waters family are fantastic! The accents of course, but they are a great bunch! I hope that the children do know how great their parents are, they do some much for them. It seems like it is opposite of the states or at least what it is like in my family. We do a lot for ourselves or our parents all of the time, and I cannot see not picking up or doing my laundry, but it all works out because Im sure it will be the same for their kids and their families when they have them…

Tonight we go out for Tom’s birthday. We are going to a Vodka bar, it is supposed to be really nice, and I believe a great time, Cori is going as Kimmy, me as Amber haha long boring story about that.. but I am excited, just nervous I will be under dressed compared to the other girls going. Cori is wearing a dress, and heels like all the others, me a nice top and dark jeans… But Im not there to impress, Im there to have fun!

Clothes

Wow, it has been terribly long since I have wrote and there is a lot to say but I am just going to try to do this quick and easy…

So Berlin… Our clothes did not dry, Cori had to leave for Geneva in wet jeans and a pack up the rest of her clothes completely wet. I had an extra 3 hours before I had to leave the hostel and head to the airport to meet my cousin Markus, so I decided to stay and try to dry my clothes again, I decided to just hang them outside of the hostel. After 2.5 hours I had to take them down and start packing, my jeans and sweatshirts were still damp, but I had to pack them anyway… I missed the train I was supposed to take, so I had to take the next and then I was late to meet up with my cousin, which actually didnt matter because I could not find him I walked from the airport to the station about three times, and lucky I got wifi in the airport so I facebooked him and we met up… We had some currywurst and talked about our family and German history, and my visit next summer! Then I was through security, sitting in the airport for 4 hours, and off to England..

Berlin

We arrived in Berlin around 11am and we met up with my cousin, first had to find our hostel where we got to upgrade no charge to a room for 2 yay!! Then we went out, it is super nice out, the weather couldn’t have been better. We saw most of the sights, some street performers, the markets, oh the oylimpic stadium too! My cousin was a good guide we knew the way around and was very helpful about the history of Berlin and well my family as well! We started to get a bit hot and tired so we headed back to the hostel after stopping at a shop to drink some Becks on the way there because we could ha,. Then I had to open our bottles with the room key because I didn’t have a lighter or a bottle opener and nothing is twist off here, which I like because it was a challenge and I got to practice the tricks I learned in Holland :) then I started to miss it! I have no idea what it is about that place, maybe just everything from the people, the water, the atmosphere, the laws… It just felt right being there, I suppose I would have to stay longer to actually know but ha I’m up for that! So besides walking around drinking Becks, eating some pizza, and trying to perfect opening bottles we tried to do laundry, mind you we couldn’t read a thing on the washer and dryer, so the wash was going for about 2hours then we tried to stop it. Our clothes were still soaked so I rung them out and put them in the dryer 2 hours later still wet so I brought them back and hung them up, now this morning still not dry so we put them in the dryer, hopefully after an hour and a half they are dry because we have to leave aahh Now we leave for the airport, Cori leaves I meet up with Markus for lunch, then I head to Toms in England, and we go to the England vs Switzerland game tomorrow!!!!!!
